WHAT IS TO BE DONE!
THIS IS A FOOLISH QUESTION TO ASK. TO COME TO POWER ALL POLITICIANS NEED VOTES. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHERE THEY COME FROM FOR THE SINHALESE ARE DIVIDED BETWEEN TWO TRAITOROUS POLITICAL PARTIES THE UNP AND THE SLFP AND THE RESULT IS THEY HAVE TO GO AFTER MINORITY VOTES. IF THE SINHALESE AT LEAST ARE UNITED THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN. IN THIS INSTANCE WE THE SINHALESE HAVE TO HELP THE POLITICAL PARTY WITH THE BEST CHANCE OF WINNING THE NEXT PRESIDENTIAL AND PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS. GOING AFTER OTHERS IS A BETRAYAL.
SRI LANKA HAS A WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY TO BREAK THIS DEADLOCK FOR NOW THERE ARE MANY WHO HAVE SEEN WHAT HAPPENED TO SRI LANKA OVER THE LAST NEARLY 5 YEARS. EVEN THE UNP AND CHRISTIANS WHO MOSTLY VOTE FOR THE UNP HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT. SRI LANKA NEEDS A STRONG LEADERSHIP AND A PERSON WHO IS BACKED BY NOT ONLY THE PEOPLE BUT ALSO BY THE INTELLECTUALS, THE PROFESSIONALS, THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY.
AT THE CURRENT MOMENT WHO ARE THE CONTENDERS AND WHO ARE THE 'KITE FLYERS'? KITE FLYERS ONLY WILL DILUTE THE VOTE AND BRING THE MAJOR CONTENDERS TO SEEK THE MINORITY VOTES. ALTHOUGH WELL MEANING, THE BEST PEOPLE LIKE NAGANANDA CAN DO IS TO SUPPORT A PRACTICALLY POSSIBLE POLITICAL OUTCOME. HE HAS PARACHUTED FROM THE UK ALONE AND NOW TRYING TO DO THE IMPOSSIBLE. ONLY THING HE CAN DO IS ATTRACT A FEW THOUSANDS OF VOTES FROM THE GULLIBLE FOR HIS IMPOSSIBLE AGENDA.
COME THE NEXT ELECTION THE JVP WHOM YOU SEEM TO FAVOR ARE AS GOOD AS THE DODO POLITICALLY. THEY HAVE DONE ENOUGH SELF HARM THEY WILL BE WIPED OUT AS A POLITICAL FORCE. THEY ARE THERE IN THE PARLIAMENT MAINLY BECAUSE OF A CONSTITUTIONAL ANAMOLY WHICH ALLOWS POLITICAL PARTIES THAT OBTAIN A MINIMUM OF 5% TO OBTAIN PARLIAMENTARY SEATS. THEIR POLITICAL STRATAGEM WAS TO CASTIGATE THE MAJOR CONTENDERS FOR POWER AND SHOW THEM AS THE ONLY SOLUTION, THIS THEY HAVE FAILED MISERABLY.
THE UNP IS ONLY IN EXISTENCE BECAUSE OF AMERICAN HELP. 'AMERICAN HELP' CAN EASILY SWING DEPENDING ON THEIR LATEST VIEW OF SRI LANKA.
THE SLFP IS JUST AN DEAD CARCASS FLOATING RUDDERLESS WITH A FEW CROWS AND MAGGOTS STILL HANGING ONTO IT
ONLY PRACTICAL CHANCE THE PEOPLE OF SRI LANKA HAS IS POHOTTUWA. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT POHOTTUWA IS IDEAL AND SQUEAKY CLEAN. THEY ARE THE POLITICAL PARTY THAT HAS A CHANCE OF BRINGING A STRONG GOVERNMENT. THEY HAVE THE CHANCE BECAUSE THE WAY THE PEOPLE SWING. FOR FIVE YEARS YAHAPALANAYA HAD ITS SAY AND BLUNDERED BEYOND BELIEF IN EVERYTHING THAT THEY DID. NOW THE PENDULUM IS ON THE REVERSE SWING.
OUR DUTY AS SINHALESE IS TO HELP THEM FORM A GOVERNMENT THAT DOES NOT REQUIRE MINORITY POLITICAL PARTY HELP. THE SINHALESE BE THEY UNP OR SLFP AND BE THEY BUDDHIST OR CHRISTIAN CAN NOW JOIN TOGETHER TO SAVE OUR MOTHERLAND.
IT IS OUR DUTY TO GUIDE POHOTTUWA TO DO THE RIGHT THING BY THE NATION. I AM PRETTY CONFIDENT THAT THERE WILL NOT BE ANY REPETITION OF PREVIOUS MAHINDA RAJAPAKSE EXCESSES IN A NEW ADMINISTRATION. ALREADY THERE ARE INTELLECTUALS, PROFESSIONALS, ECONOMISTS AND OTHER WELL MEANING PERSONNEL DOING THEIR 'THING' TO GUIDE POHOTTUWA IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION.
LAST THING WE EXPECT IS FOR THE LIKES OF DISGRUNTLED PERSONNEL DOING THEIR BEST TO SCUTTLE THE ELECTORAL PROCESS BY GOING AFTER 'KITE FLYERS' SUCH AS NAGANANDA OR SEVERELY DISCREDITED JVP.
THERE IS NO POINT IN BLAMING THE POLITICIANS FOR GOING AFTER VOTES. WE HAVE TO BE THE VEHICLE THAT BRINGS THEM THE RIGHT CATEGORY OF VOTES SO THAT THEY CAN BE LOYAL TO THOSE. AT THE MOMENT THERE IS NOTHING TO PREVENT THEM FROM GOING AFTER MINORITY RACIST AND RELIGIOUS MINORITY POLITICAL PARTIES FOR IT IS THE ONLY THING THEY CAN DO TO COME TO POWER AND FORM A GOVERNMENT. LET US HELP THEM BY BRINGING THEM THE 'RIGHT KIND OF VOTE'!
LET US NOT BECOME THE PROBLEM. LET US BECOME THE SOLUTION.

In the aftermath of the tragic Easter Sunday bombings, the prime Minister of Sri Lankan Ranil Wickremasinghe on 27/04/2019 announced that the Millennium Challenge Corporation agreement was signed and that this agreement has provided Sri Lanka USD 500 million which could be used for development work. In two articles published on the internet in February and March 2019, alleged details of this agreement were leaked to the public. Posted on May 4th, 2019
The articles allege that the MCC agreement is nothing but a plan to splinter Sri Lanka and turn it into a US Military Base.
The Key points alleged in these articles are:
- The agreement was drafted after two years of secretive negotiations between Ranil Wickremasinghe and the Millennium Challenge Corporation and It was to be signed in November 2018
- Under cover of ‘Megapolis’ development, the Americans demanded from Sri Lanka an ‘Economic’ Corridor of 1.2 Million Acres of land from Trincomalee to Colombo for a lease period of 200 years and they insisted that US law must prevail within this corridor
- The US has offered USD 400 million for the corridor which works out to Rs.24 per acre per month.
- It appears that Sri Lanka has been offered 80 million USD more
- The area covered by the corridor contains Eppawela’ phosphates, ilmenite, thorium, monazite, and rare-earth metals Cerium and Lanthanum
- The US insisted that Sri Lanka should abrogate her land laws which had protected her Sovereignty and National Security and that Ranil Wickramasinghe has agreed to oblige by drafting to two new Bills – the ‘State Land Bank’ Bill and the ‘Land (Special Provision)’ Bill
- The construction of an ‘Electrified’ Railway Line from Trincomalee to Colombo protected with electric fences on either side which will effectively physically split the country into two.
- Anuradhapura and Kurunegala will be in the north of the corridor
Given the grave nature of the allegations it is imperative that the government immediately reveal the contents of the agreement without any redactions to the general public. We strongly request the government to do so immediately and all political and national leaders to recognize the dire implications of the agreement to the national sovereignty and take all steps to REJECT AND REPEAL ‘the agreement with MCC, USA.
